What hookah catering actually includes

Proper catering is much more than dropping off equipment. A full-service package from Smoky Ocean includes:

• Premium hookahs and glassware that look right at an upscale event — no battered lounge stock.
• A flavour menu tailored to your guests, agreed before the event: lighter mixes for mixed crowds, bolder ones for connoisseurs.
• A professional hookah master on site for the entire event — building bowls, managing coals, replacing mouthpieces and keeping every hookah smoking perfectly.
• All consumables: natural coconut coal, individual mouthpieces, tobacco, ice and fruit for fruit-head bowls.
• Setup and teardown, arriving before your guests and disappearing without a trace afterwards.

Which events work best

Weddings and after-parties

A hookah corner gives guests a natural place to drift to when the dance floor isn't their thing. It photographs beautifully at golden hour and keeps the party alive between dinner and dancing.

Villa and pool parties

The classic Cyprus format. Two or three hookahs on rotation cover a party of 15–25 people comfortably, and the hookah master keeps everything running while you host.

Corporate events

For team nights and client entertainment, a managed hookah station is a talking point that doesn't require anyone to organise anything — the master handles every detail.

Yachts and boat parties

Absolutely possible with the right equipment and an experienced master — stable hookahs, wind management and safe coal handling matter at sea. Tell us the boat size and we'll plan accordingly.

How many hookahs do you need?

The rule of thumb is one hookah per 5–7 guests who smoke. Not everyone smokes at once, and hookahs rotate through the evening. For a 30-person party where roughly half will try the hookah, three units with a single master is usually perfect. For 50+ guests we bring a second master.

Where in Cyprus do we go?

We're based in Limassol and cater anywhere on the island — Limassol, Paphos, Larnaca, Nicosia, Ayia Napa and Protaras, plus the mountain villages in between. Delivery beyond Limassol simply needs a little more notice.

Booking checklist

1. Book 5–7 days ahead in summer — weekends fill quickly from June to September.
2. Confirm the venue allows smoking in the area you're planning (outdoor terraces are almost always fine).
3. Share your guest count and any flavour preferences or no-tobacco requests — alcohol-free and light options exist for every mix.
4. For yachts and remote venues, send us photos of the space so we bring the right equipment.
